Problem: Software failed to install because Java needs to be updated

Problem: I need to print a Seller Side Only Disclosure
Solution:
NEW FORM
  • If lenders are only requesting that you provide the Seller's Disclosure (eliminating the need for you to fill out a full Closing Disclosure Form), you may want to use the NEW Sellers Closing Disclosure Professional (available on the 2018 ThorpeForms Desktop).

  1. Launch a Closing Disclosure Form from the ThorpeForms Desktop.
  2. Fill in the shaded areas of the form and Calculate.
  3. Save your form: File > Save As.
  4. Select: ThorpeForms > Print.
  5. Select: Seller's Side Only AND Allow Edit Before Printing > Print.
  6. The newly created Seller Only document will appear on the screen.
  7. You can now print and save the 2 page Seller's Disclosure document and Signature page.

  1. Launch a Closing Disclosure Form from the ThorpeForms Desktop.
  2. Fill in the shaded areas of the form and select Add-Ins/Calculate.
  3. Save your form: File > Save As.
  4. Select: Add-Ins > ThorpeForms > Print.
  5. Select: Seller's Side Only > Print.
  6. A message will appear "Your document has been successfully created ....",
  7. Click OK.
  8. The newly created Seller Only document may be in the background.
  9. To view, select: View > Switch Windows > Seller Only.
  10. You can now print and save the 2 page Seller's Disclosure document and Signature page.
Problem: I need to print an ALTA Settlement Statement
Solution:

  1. Launch a Closing Disclosure with ALTA Settlement Statements from the ThorpeForms Desktop.
  2. Fill in the blue shaded areas of the form and Calculate.
  3. Save your form: File > Save As.
  4. Select: ThorpeForms > Generate > ALTA Settlement Statement Plug-In.
  5. Choose: Combined or Seller Settlement Statement > OK.
  6. A message will appear "Your Settlement Statement Form has been successfully created".
  7. The newly created ALTA Settlement Statement document will appear on the screen. You can now print and save the document.

  1. Launch a Closing Disclosure with ALTA Settlement Statements from the ThorpeForms Desktop.
  2. Fill in the blue shaded areas of the form and Calculate.
  3. Save your form: File > Save As.
  4. Select: Add-Ins > ThorpeForms > Generate > ALTA Settlement Statement Plug-In.
  5. Choose: Combined or Seller Settlement Statement > OK.
  6. A message will appear "Your Settlement Statement Form has been successfully created in another Word document window....".
  7. Select: View > Switch Window.
  8. Choose the newly created document. You can now print and save the ALTA Settlement Statement.
Problem: I need more lines in Section E on the Closing Disclosure Form.
Solution:
  • The CFPB regulations for this form clearly state that no lines can be added or deleted under the 'Taxes and Other Government Fees' subheading.
  • Use the provided Addendum for Section E, on the last page of your forms, where you can itemize the Section E totals that you enter on the two given lines of the Closing Disclosure Form.
  • You may also itemize the Section E fees on a separate document, such as the ALTA Settlement Statement.
Problem: Microsoft Visual Basic Run-Time Error '5941': The requested member of the collection does not exist.
Solution:

  • Click End to close the error message.
  • This error is caused by using the Enter key when filling out the form, or adding/removing rows. You want to be very careful not to do either of these, as the form is formatted to very specific guidelines and should not be changed.
  • If you are aware of doing any of the above, you may attempt to remove/correct the cause and re-Calculate.
  • If you need assistance fixing your document, send an email to support@thorpeforms.com with a note referencing this specific error message. Also, attach your document (saved as a word document, not a PDF). It is possible that our technicicans will be able to detect the cause and fix the document.
